Design: The phone maker Motorola has enhanced the design of this 2nd generation phone to some extent. At first glance, one can see a well designed metallic edge around the mobile. But, this design was absent with the original Moto X. Similar to the descendent, this new mobile has curved edges. Moreover, this metallic edge also performs like an antenna. As the previous version, this new mobile has got the rounded rear design. This is one of the thinnest mobiles available in the market with the edge of about 3.8mm. The curvature coupled with rubber-like finish, which helps in holding the mobile with ease.

Apps: By using your two fingers, all notifications on this mobile can be expanded. The area for notifications also provides shortcuts for the Bluetooth, airplane mode, Wi-Fi, brightness, and location settings. This new mobile comes packed with many Google applications along with Motorola’s own applications such as Motorola Alert, Motorola Assist, and Motorola Migrate.
As the original Moto X, this new handset persist the Active Display, which is relabeled to Moto Display. In addition, the phone has got a new feature by which the user can create voice commands.
Moto Voice is accompanied by multiple features. Initially, it will let the user to modify its launch text. Since the text is the base for voice commands, the user can create any text, which will pop out. For instance, If I text “Wake up Moto” then there is no need to take the mobile in my hands to switch on it. Just by my voice command “Wake Up Moto”, the phone will wakes up by itself.
Moreover, Moto Display still exists and it is an impressive application on this mobile. With this app, one can customize the display and make the phone to allow popping up only useful notifications. In this time, the phone maker has upgraded this application so that it lets the user to interact with three notifications instead of one. In other words, this upgraded application offers more control over the phone’s display.

The Verdict of Motorola Moto X – 2nd Generation Review
The traditional, non-customized Motorola Moto X is an attractive smart phone. But it is more expensive especially than the Google Nexus. Even the Google Nexus has not packed with high resolution camera and excellent build quality; it matches with this 2nd generation mobile in many aspects and is available in much lower price.
The newly included Moto Maker is an impressive feature that doesn’t let the other user to customize your phone. However, this feature makes the life harder during upgrade time. I don’t know why this world-class phone maker doesn’t include a micro SD slot. Due to the absence of this slot, the internal memory can’t be extended.
In India, this NANO-SIM Moto X is priced at Rs. 31, 999/- and one can select this mobile from multiple colors or shades. Since the operating system in this mobile will be upgraded to Lollipop version, the 2nd generation Moto X will be the world’s first ever handset equipped with the advanced Lollipop operating system.
